TUESDAY NIGHT MEN’S LEAGUE

  1. League play is match play.  Handicap is based on 80% of average score.  Players must be 18 years old and need not be members of Gopher Hills Golf Course.
  2. Each team will consist of 2 players each Tuesday.  Each team should have one or two subs available.
  3. League play starts May 4th, 2010.  The league will be 2- 8 week sessions, with a fun night on the 9th week and also the last week of the season. Also, after the season ends there will be a mini 6 week league for those who are interested   playing in September and early October.
  4. The league fee will be the following for each session: $25.00 for members; $125 for non-members.
  5. Tee-off times will be from 3:45-5:30.  Play either the front or back as scheduled.
  6. A schedule will be posted for the entire season.
  7. A 2-man team will play another 2-man team.  The low handicap golfer will play the other low handicap golfer.  High handicap golfer will play the high handicap golfer.
  8. Match scoring based on 22 points.  1 point per hole, per golfer=18 points. 

4 points for low net team total.  If hole ties, pushed to next hole.  If team total ties- 2 points per team.

  1. Forfeit.  If  both team players are a no show, the other team receives the high points earned that week.  No low net team total.  If 1 golfer is gone, the other team golfer plays against both other team members.  The 2 man team gets the 4 points low net total.
  2. In the event of inclement weather, the pro shop will decide whether to play or not.  If carts are pulled, the league will not play.
  3. Summer rules are in effect the entire season unless otherwise specified.
  4. Handicaps will carry over from last year.  New players:  before league starts, post 3 golf scores to pro shop.  If you cannot, the first night score will establish handicap.
  5. If in doubt on any ruling, ask members of your group.  If you still don’t know, play another ball from that spot and ask for a ruling when you get in.
  6. If a non-member subs for a member, he is required to pay green fees.
  7. There will be a first and second half winner.  After second half, the 1st and 2nd half winner’s playoff to determine league winner.  The fun night of each session also has a winner.  The Prize fund is used for 1st and 2nd place winners for each session as well as fun night winners receiving banquet & drink tickets, and golf balls.
