GOPHER HILLS GOLF ACADEMY

Gopher Hills is committed to teach golfers young and old how to play and love the game. Using our SIMPLER method of golf instruction we can quickly have playing better golf and having more fun. Our Golf Academy programs are hosted at our practice area featuring a 16 station driving rang, short game area, putting green and quick access to the Par 30 Lynx executive course.

Corporate Golf Program

Our Corporate Golf Program is designed to help get sales professionals who are new to golf quickly up to speed so they can have confidence on the course and play well when golfing at business and company outings. Emphasis will be on grip, swing and short game, in addition to learning rules and etiquette for a fun, friendly experience. Instruction takes place in the practice area, but golfers will get a chance to play several holes on the real golf course in a low-stress environment with the instructor.

  • Thursday and Friday sessions from 9am-noon and 1pm-4pm

  • Up to 6 golfers per session (4 golfers minimum)

  • $50/person per 3 hour session

Junior Golf Program

We are passionate about junior golfers and helping grow the game. Our Junior Golf Program is for youth ages 6 to 16 looking to take up the game. We emphasis having fun, speed of play, respect and learning the proper swing with the SIMPLER golf method. Kids will learn on the range and practice area and have opportunities to play on the course as well.

  • Monday and Tuesday sessions from 9am-noon and 1pm-4pm

  • Up to 6 youth golfers per session (4 golfers minimum)

  • $25/person per 3 hour session

Program Itinerary

DAY 1

  1. Check in at Pro Shop

  2. Meet with instructor(s)—review agenda

  3. Move to driving range

    • Golf SIMPLER method instruction (1 hour)

      • Grip Discussion

      • 7 Phases of the golf swing (SIMPLER)

    • Short Game (1 hour)

      • 1/2 swing

      • 1/4 swing

      • pitch

      • chip

      • sand shots

      • putting

  4. Move to Lynx executive course

    1. Etiquette—for a fun, friendly, faster experience

    2. Rules—new rules to speed up play

    3. 5 hole play minimum-more if time available

DAY 2 (If requested)

  1. Review golf SIMPLER method and short game elements (1 hour)

  2. Play entire Lynx executive course (1.5 hr)

  3. Question and answer (.5 hr)
